Tokaj Macik

Founded around 1995, Tokaj Macik is a family-run winery now operated by the fourth and fifth generations of the Macik family in Mala Trna, within Slovakia's historic Tokaj winegrowing region.

The estate works organically in its own vineyards and has earned multiple accolades, including three 'Winery of the Year" awards and seven "Wine of the Year" titles.

Producing a relatively modest volume, the winery focuses on quality over quantity, crafting both classic oxidative Tokaj styles and fresher reductive expressions. Its ethos centres on sustainable viticulture - "no chemicals in the vineyard, none in the cellar'' - and on wines that reflect the unique terroir of Tokaj's volcanic soils and cellar-ageing traditions.
