Originel Rouge

A fresh, elegant Bergerac red with an easy-going, food-friendly character. Made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grown on clay-limestone soils, it offers vibrant aromas of ripe red berries, with hints of liquorice and bay leaf. The palate is light, crisp and wonderfully juicy, with flavours of red berries, blueberries and blackberries, followed by a subtle spicy finish. Modern, supple and refreshing, it’s the sort of red that slips effortlessly from the kitchen table to the dinner table.

Food pairing: Brilliant with Bayonne ham, duck rillettes, roast or grilled duck, herb-crusted lamb and Ossau-Iraty with black cherry jam. Also lovely with dark chocolate desserts and spiced poached pear.
