Hot Blood Red 2022

A beautifully fresh and fragrant Bergerac red inspired by the melodies of JJ Julius Son, singer of Icelandic band KALEO.

Made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, this is a wonderfully expressive wine that combines bright fruit, fine structure and a distinctly perfumed character.

Light garnet in colour and wonderfully clear, it opens with delicate aromas of small berries and wild scrubland, followed by vibrant flavours of fresh red and black fruit, with a lovely hint of sloe. Fine tannins give the wine structure without weighing it down, while the finish is lifted and aromatic, with an intriguing touch of Chinese black pepper. Aged in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and purity, this is a graceful, food-friendly red with plenty of personality.
