Magula - Sen 2020
Sen is a bold and soulful Slovak rose, crafted by Vladimir Magula, Elizabeth Gabay MW, and Ben Bernheim - a true meeting of minds and terroirs.
Named after the Slovak word for “dream”, Sen is just that: a dream come true in the form of a natural, barrel-aged rose with depth, structure, and elegance.
Blending Cabernet Sauvignon from volcanic soils and Frankovka (Blaufrankisch) from loess-rich vineyards in the Small Carpathians, Sen shows vibrant notes of violet, blue fruit, and fresh cherry, underpinned by cool-climate acidity and gentle tannins. Fermented with indigenous yeast and aged in used oak barrels, it’s a wine made with minimal intervention and maximum character.
More than a summer sip, Sen is a rose for all seasons - equally at home on a cold winter night as it is on a sunlit terrace. With just 1,800 bottles produced each year, it’s a rare and expressive wine made by two families, from two grapes, across two regions - but always with one shared vision.
